Building a pool? The barrier is part of the permit, so plan it with the pool, not after.
When you build a new pool in Henderson, the safety barrier is part of the pool permit. Henderson's pool plan checklist asks for the site plan to show the barrier material and height, and the pool can't pass final inspection without it. Planning the fence early avoids surprises at the end of the project.
The 2024 ISPSC requires temporary construction fencing at least 4 ft high around the excavation until the permanent barrier is in. Talk with your pool builder about who provides and removes it.
The Southern Nevada Water Authority limits the surface area of new residential pools to 600 square feet (in effect since July 2022), and Henderson's pool checklist refers to the city's pool surface area rules. A smaller pool usually means less fence, too.
Not sure? Compare permanent vs. removable.
The barrier is part of the pool permit and is shown on the site plan. Ask the City of Henderson building department exactly what it inspects at final.
Plan it during pool design and install it before the final inspection. Temporary construction fencing is required during construction.
A wall that meets the height and climbability rules can be part of the barrier, but any gates in it must meet the gate rules. Ask the building department about your layout.
Some do. If yours doesn't, request a quote here and coordinate the timeline with your builder.
